The white stone quarry near the town of Štramberk is a natural monument consisting of Jurassic limestone. In addition to visitors to the town who walk around Váňův's Rock to the lookout of Bílé hora (White Mountain), this is a popular place for rock climbers.
Because of its very unusual shape, the rock was called the "Devil's Stone". Its present name comes from the surname of owner of the land on which the formation is located, the farmer Váni.
