Beer lovers will not be the only ones pleased by a visit to the historic Fojtství and its brewery restaurant, the Wallachian Brewery in Kozlovice. You can have a refreshing sip after a delicious dish of Czech or Moravian specialties, including unfiltered Pilsner beer - the blonde Valašský vojvoda and dark Kozlovický fojt.
A great gastronomical experience is completed by a pleasant atmosphere of the stone restaurant, whose walls remember the days of Wallachian voivodes, i.e. shepherd chalet keepers and countless artifacts and documents. The historic soul of the site is complete with the staff dressed in traditional folk costumes.
You can also visit the exhibit of the old schoolhouse, where you will find a grammar book, whose original owner, Czech author Mikoláš Aleš, is given away by doodles on the book’s pages. The site also offers an exposition dedicated to the town history and the sojourn of composer Leoš Janáček in the region (they even have his personal letter). Also, don’t miss the admirable collection of religious art.
