This tourist lodge was formed under the castle tower 'Truba Štramberk' in 1925. Tourists opened two cottages. One of them was named 'Jaroňkova shelter', the other was called 'Rašínova', after the first Czechoslovak minister of finance, Alois Rasin.
After World War II, "Rašínovka" was renamed as the cottage of doctor Hrstka after a local native, the physician and mayor, Hrstka, who was one of the great pioneers of tourism in Štramberk and its surroundings.
Today it is a popular place and the hut serves snacks to Štramberk visitors while climbing the observation tower of the castle Trúba.
