The three concrete forts that became a part of the Czechoslovak fortifications in the 1930s are being restored by military history enthusiasts in Milostovice by Opava.
. The fort that shows what the bunkers looked like in 1938 is nicknamed U trigonometru (At Trigonometry). Tour guides will be happy to reveal the details of its construction and weaponry. The discoveries made here are truly remarkable; for example, the identity of the fort commander or how many machine gun rounds took place here before Czechoslovakia handed the fort over without a fight.
Visitors seeking this part of modern history can continue to the
World War II Memorial in Hrabyně, or to
the bunkers in Darkovičky.
