If you’d like to travel back one hundred years in time and see how people lived in the villages of Opavsko, head down to Bolatice. Local residents opened the Skanzen lidových tradic (Folk Traditions Open Air-Museum) in this house, built at the turn of the 20th century.
Bolatice enthusiasts who were keen to preserve folk traditions for future generations participated not only in the restoration of the building and establishing the open-air museum itself, but also supplied the majority of the exhibit items from their own barns, cellars, and attics. This means that visitors can now gain an idea of how people lived at the beginning of the last century, and will have the opportunity to tour furnished sitting rooms, kitchens, stables, and byres.
In addition to tours, the museum also hosts various social events that highlight the traditions of village life.
