The Historical Centre of Bruntál

The historical centre of Bruntál, the first town to obtain town privileges in the Czech Lands, consists of a quadrate square with Renaissance and Empire houses. The town hall dates back from the 16th century but was reconstructed in the Baroque style and embellished with a turret after fires.
Gabriel’s House is the most valuable house is situated at the corner of the Náměstí Míru square. The house has preserved many of its features from around 1600 and is considered a jewel of the Renaissance burgess architecture in Silesia.

History lovers can also visit the local castle with a memorable exhibition dedicated to the town’s history.
