The windmill in Spálov is the smallest mill of its kind in the Czech Republic. If you would like to explore it as part of Pohádkove Poodří (Fairytale Poodří), let yourself be guided by Větroplach the elf, who will gladly give you a tour.
Větroplach is a chap who has lived in windmills since anyone can remember. You see, he helps millers when the wind is not blowing. With his powerful breath, he is able to turn the wind sails and thus power the entire mill. Thanks to Větroplach, the mill at Spálov could grind flour, even when the wind was not blowing. Today, the mill at Spálov no longer grinds flour, so Větroplach passes the time by guiding visitors on tours and showing them how it all once worked.
