The majestic peak of Praděd is the highest mountain in Moravia and Silesia, surrounded by unspoiled nature, dormant volcanoes and pure air. Kofola, absinth or the family story of a candidate for the US president are all integral parts of the history and modern times of this beautiful corner of the Czech Republic.
You will find here excellent mountain trails for walking, bicycle and cross-country skiing. In winter you can ski on many downhill slopes. Indulge in food and drink prepared according to traditional recipes. The nature reserves abound in meadows that are full of protected plants and forests full of wild-life. You can explore the magical castles or walk through the streets of the oldest city in the Czech Republic. Praděd Mountain overlooks gold-bearing streams that flow down the hills of ancient volcanoes surrounded by the rolling countryside around the Slezska Harta water reservoir.
