The Lichnovský family had owned the local estate since the early years of the 17th century.

]]> The family tomb began to be built at the beginning of the 20th century in the grounds of the local chateau near the chateau chapel, which was later upgraded to the Church of the Holy Cross.

It is no coincidence that the brick structure of the tomb resembles the Red Castle in Hradec nad Moravicí. It was built in a similar style and was even built by the same architect who was in charge of the repairs of the chateau in Hradec. The sarcophagi with the remains of three representatives of the family were placed in the tomb.

During World War II, the Church of the Holy Cross was completely destroyed when it was hit by a bomb on Good Friday in 1945. After the war, the sarcophagi were forcibly opened and the remains were walled up in one of the niches of the original tomb. Even the local people did not know about the whereabouts of the Lichnovský family.

Today, the sarcophagi have been repaired and are displayed in their original places in the tomb as the Lichnovskýs wished. In 1996, the people of Chuchelná also got a new church.
