Vintage Motorcycle Expo
When discovering the many interesting places in Ostrava, you may visit the permanent exhibit of vintage motorcycles. The Černá louka exhibition center showcases four dozen historical motorcycles. The collection has been donated by the collegiate sculptor Miroslav Rybička, also a motorcycle racer and restorer.
You can admire machines built between 1920 and 1970, including unique relics, of which only a few have survived to this day. Besides the motorcycles themselves, you can check out a myriad of paraphernalia that relates to Mr. Rybička’s hobby, such as disassembled motors, gear boxes or metal fairing designs.
The vintage motorcycle exhibit is part of the Moravian-Silesian TechnoTrasa project, which takes visitors on a tour of the noteworthy technical rarities in the region. Vintage vehicle enthusiasts can continues on the TechnoTrasa route to the town of Kopřivnice and tour the Technical Museum, which boasts dozens of Tatra automobiles and other vehicles.
