From Trojanovice to the Pustevny

Pustevny is a mountain resort and a popular tourist destination in the Beskydy Mountains. It is located at an altitude of 1,018 metres above sea level and is famous for its historic wooden buildings built at the end of the 19th century in the style of folk architecture. The author is the famous Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič. Pustevny is named after the hermits who lived here in the past.

There are many hiking routes leading from Pustevny, including the path to the top of Radhošt’ (1,129 m), where there is a chapel of Cyril and Methodius and a statue of Radegast. Besides hiking, Pustevny is also popular for cross-country skiing in winter and cycling in summer. 

This is a popular all-day hike of about 8,7 km. On this hike you will visit not only Pustevny, but also the peaks Radhošt’.
