Christian Labyrinth in Bělá

On the outskirts of the village of Bělá, which is known especially for its excellent trout farm, a so-called Christian Labyrinth has been created. The French labyrinth in Chartres from 1213 was the inspiration for the construction of this place of contemplation.

In the Middle Ages, labyrinths symbolised the complex journey through life and were used by the faithful to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. The labyrinth in Bělá is made of bricks and the “pilgrimage” to its centre is less than six hundred metres long. You can also visit the barefoot trail in the area, which uses the healing methods of Vincenzo Priessnitz, where you can get your feet blood pumping by walking in cold water.
