Water adventures on the Moravice
The Moravice River has created a beautiful path in the landscape between the slopes of the Jeseníky Mountains and the forests and meadows of the Opava region. Its banks are used by hikers and increasingly also by mountain bikers. The river level is used by boaters.
The Moravice is one of the most popular rivers for paddlers in the Moravian-Silesian Region. They especially like its flow between the Kružberk dam and Hradec nad Moravicí. The river still has its strength there, so boats, whether they are rafts or canoes, are moved by the force of the water. The surrounding scenery is fantastic, with the river flowing through a steep valley, for example past the ruins of Vikštejn Castle, and gradually spilling out into wide meadows.
A cruise on the Moravice has its own unique atmosphere, for example, when the boaters greet hikers, cyclists and cottagers who roast barbecues right on the riverbank. Paddlers can find a base at David’s Mill below Kružberk, for example.
