“Forest” Mill in Bernatice nad Odrou

One of the technical monuments that commemorate the time when everything was powered by the power of water is in Bernartice nad Odrou. This place is also connected with the flow of the Odra River and is located in the tourist area of Moravské Kravařsko.

The mill was unlucky in its misfortune – it stopped grinding, like other similar technical uniquenesses, in the 1950s, but unlike other mills, the equipment did not end up in scrap, because it basically held the whole structure together. Thanks to this, not only the building but also the original mill equipment has survived to this day. Today, the daughter of the original miller lives in the building and gives visitors a guided tour of this unique piece of technology.
