Silver lake in Jestřabí near Fulnek

The silver lake in Jestřabí near Fulnek was created by flooding an old galena shaft. Today it is a popular place for walks and for trips to discover the nature of the Oderské vrchy.

The surroundings of the lake are a natural monument and the Odry – Silver Trail, which starts in Odry and has thirteen stops along its more than seven kilometres, leads to it. The trail leads through flower meadows, wetlands and other places connected with the flow of the Odra River.

Primarily willows and birches grow on the banks of the Silver Pond, and endangered reptile species and amphibians live in the surroundings.
