The Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava is one of the leading collection institutions in the Czech Republic.
Galler of Fine Art is based in a breathtaking Functionalist building dating back to 1926, which was designed by the architects Fiala and Wallenfels, pupils of the founder of Czech modern art Jan Kotěra.
It offers an exceptional setting for the presentation of both great gallery collections and other exhibitions devoted especially to fine art from the 19th century to the present. The pearl of gallery's colletion is the picture of the Judith by Gustav Klimt. You will see also works by old masters such as Dürer, Cranach, Aachen and Hollar.
