The unique culture of Gorolski (Gorol- the local term fro mountain-folk) is commemorated at the ethnographic complex in Dolní Lomná where, every September, the festival called 'Silesian Days' is held.
Visitors can see a display of Czech as well as foreign folk groups and brass bands. The evenings on the dance floor are dominated by dulcimer music (a type of traditional, open piano) that is played in the open air.
Every year, the program of Silesian days includes the long distance march- 'Mánesovo trail'. There is also a Silesian Krmaš (market), which is a real showcase of gastronomic delights dominated by dishes of potatoes, cabbage, meat and of course, cheese.
