The church of St. Peter of Alcantara is located in the area called 'Doly' (Karvina mines) and because of undermining, it has fallen by more than 35 meters. During this gradual sinking into the earth, it has deviated so much that it has threatened to collapse for years.
Today, the deviation has been corrected and miraculously, although it is still inclined, serves the faithful once again who come here for Holy Mass. The church is the last and the only reminder of how this part of Karvina looked at the time when there was no coal mining.
