Dolní Benešov Chateau

A Gothic fortress used to stand on the site of today's chateau in Dolní Benešov. Not much of it has survived, only a portal with the date 1498 reminds us of it.

Today’s appearance of the chateau is the result of building modifications from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The chateau is surrounded by an English park and the chateau chapel, which contains the original statue of the Immaculata, the Immaculate Virgin Mary, a copy of which stands in the square. The chateau is set in beautiful countryside near a set of local ponds.
