Guiding services in Opava

Get to know Opava's architecture on a guided tour. As part of the Architecture of Old Opava tour series, the guide will introduce you to the key buildings in the city centre.

During the general tour, you will see, for example, the Chapel of St. Elizabeth, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the theatre and the House of the White Horse. The aim of the tour is to acquaint visitors with the architecture of Opava before 1945. For this purpose, the guides use old photographs, maps, floor plans and an interactive model of Opava as of 1800 for comparison. Thanks to the tour, you will not only learn about the history of architecture, but also understand the history of Opava. If you are interested in a guided tour in a foreign language (German and Polish are available), you need to book the tour well in advance.

The start is in the foyer of the Municipal House, where tickets can also be purchased with prior reservation. The length of the tour is 120 minutes.
