Jerlochovice Walls in Fulnek

The so-called Jerlochovice Walls in Fulnek are a unique natural formation. These are sandstone deposits that were formed in this place 15 million years ago, when the sea reached here.

Today the walls are up to twelve metres high in some places. There are several similar sites in the region that have been preserved for millions of years as evidence of the ancient sea, but none is as distinctive as the Jerlochovice Walls. They form one of the many natural highlights of this part of the Moravské Kravařsko and Poodří landscape.
