Muzeum Novojičínska

One of the most valuable treasures that visitors to the Muzeum Novojičínska, which itself presents the history of Nový Jičín from its very beginnings, can admire, is the extensive collection of Renaissance and Baroque paintings.

The permanent exhibition also includes rifles, pistols and other historical weapons, and in another part of the museum there is a great exhibition called Keep it on Your Head full of various hats and headgear that were made in the legendary Tonak factory in Nový Jičín.

The museum is housed in Žerotínský zámek and, in addition to its main exhibitions, manages other important museums in the area, such as the Memorial to František Palacký in Hodslavice or the Memorial to Jan Amos Komenský in Fulnek.
