Na Skalce lookout tower near Holčovice
A wooden lookout tower has stood on the slope of Moravian Hill above Holčovice since 2013.
The views from the 20-metre high hill are on all sides, so tourists can get to know the individual mountains of the Jeseníky Mountains and admire the Beskydy Mountains ridge stretching in the distance. In good weather, you can see as far as the Tatras or the Polish plain. The wooden tower was named “Skalka” because Moravian Hill is all rock.
A very similar lookout tower to the one at Holčovice stood at the top of Mount Smrk in the Jizerské hory until the end of the Second World War.
