Pictorial route to Javořinka

Head from Staré Hamry, situated in a charming basin in the middle of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains, to the village of Javořinka along the path that used to be used by children from the village to the school in Staré Hamry.

To make their long daily journey more pleasant, Mrs. Josefa Tomášková, known as Pepinka, decorated the path with colourful pictures attached to tall spruce trees. In addition, she arranged pleasant seats along the path, carefully made wooden canopies over the crystal wells, a bell and an orientation map, and added verses and wise lessons.The picture path is followed by the Javořinka – Němčanka – Samčanka educational trail. The trail is 6.7 kilometres long and together with the picture trail forms a 9-kilometre circuit full of beautiful views.
