Ponds at Raduň Chateau

One of the most beautiful views of Radun Chateau is from one of the ponds in the chateau park. The shore offers places where you can look at one of the most romantic chateaus and at the same time see its reflection in the water.

The pond is called Vrchní, and since it is the closest to the chateau, the architect has gone to great lengths to make it the best place to walk. In total, there are four ponds in the chateau park, fed by the Raduňka river. On the embankment of one of the ponds grows a half a thousand year old oak tree, the oldest tree in the Opava region.

Another rarity are the artificially created wetlands, which have brought back amphibians, insects and other aquatic animals.
