Pustkovec boulder

In Pustkovec you can see three boulders that arrived with the glacier 200,000 years ago, probably from Sweden.

The first of them lay in a nameless stream and has now become part of the grounds of the new sports hall. Another wandering boulder lies by the fire station and the third by the municipal office. The largest wandering boulder in the Czech Republic is also in Ostrava and can be found in front of one of the gates of the LIBERTY Ostrava metallurgical plant. Others are located in the Bruntál region and around Osoblaha.
