Svatojánská tower

Visit one of the landmarks of Frýdek-Místek and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the Beskydy Mountains, which will be your well-deserved reward after climbing the 211 steps.

But the breathtaking view is just the icing on the cake. In the 72-metre high tower, which is part of the Church of St. John the Baptist, there is also a contemporary art gallery, and on the floor above the bells, the exhibition ‘Views into the History of the Parish of Frýdek begins. Here you will find unique objects that you can safely touch, and on the next floor you will find engaging texts, period drawings, photographs from the history of the parish and, last but not least, a large clockwork.
