The wooden church of St. Andrew in Hodslavice
The roof of the church is covered with split wooden shingles, the interior is also made of wood. The altar was created in the middle of the seventeenth century, the original is a massive stone baptismal font in the shape of a chalice.
A wooden statue from the fifteenth century, known as the Hodslav Madonna, was very rare. Along with other valuables, it disappeared from the church in a theft in 1992.
The parents of the historian František Palacký, one of the most prominent Czech patriots, are buried in the adjacent cemetery. Palacký’s birth house stands near the church.
