Thermal Spa Velké Losiny

Healthy air and spas are inseparable from Jeseníky. People have been coming to Velké Losiny to cure their ailments since time immemorial, as it is one of the oldest spas in Moravia. The locals discovered the beneficial effects of thermal water here as early as the 16th century.

A legend about a peasant who drove his sick horse off his farm relates to the founding of the spa. The horse fell into the mud in a nearby meadow and drank from the spring. After a few days, he miraculously recovered and returned to his master. This was the first step towards enjoying the local natural wealth.

Over the years, the spa has earned a resounding reputation – both for the number of patients it has healed and for its beautiful surroundings. The six thermal springs here, with their high hydrogen sulphide content, have healing effects, especially for neurological, musculoskeletal and skin ailments. Today you will find a unique thermal park in Velké Losiny, where you can immerse yourself in a relaxing and regenerating water world. The surroundings of the spa houses consist of a park with rare trees, a nearby castle and a unique paper mill.

From the Velké Losiny Spa you can organise summer and winter hiking trips to ski or visit remarkable places of the Jeseníky Mountains.
