Wooden bell tower in Jamartice
The wooden bell tower in Jamartice is of such a peculiar shape that it does not resemble any architectural style. Most of all, it resembles a chess piece.
Its exact origin is not known, but one source claims that it was built at the end of the 19th century because the local Catholic priest refused to let the Old Catholics ring the death knell. The bell tower thus became the chapel of the Old Catholics in Jamartice and in the 1960s a small altar was placed there.
