From Krásná to the Lysá hora

Lysá hora is the highest peak of the Beskydy Mountains and the heart of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains with a height of 1323.5 metres. It is located about 20 km southwest of Frýdek-Místek and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The name of the hill is derived from the fact that the top of the mountain is bald, without vegetation. The top of the mountain is grassy with several huts and a transmitter.

Lysá hora is known for its harsh climatic conditions, with large amounts of snow in winter and a more pleasant climate in summer compared to lower-lying areas. The top of Lysá hora is accessible on foot, by bike or cross-country ski and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There is also a mountain cottage at the top where you can enjoy refreshments and a hot meal.

There are two possible routes from this village. 6 km long via the yellow hiking route or longer 10 km via the green, red and blue hiking signs.
