Church of St. Prokop and Barbora in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem

The locals do not call the wooden church in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem anything other than "the Russian church". Originally it stood in the village of Hliňanec in Transcarpathian Ukraine. During the First Republic it was dismantled and transported by rail to the Beskydy village of Kunčice.

There, carpenters rebuilt the church, but the roof and tower had to be built all over again. A similar fate befell some other churches that stood in Transcarpathian Ukraine. Wooden churches from this area still stand in Kinský Garden in Prague, and there are others in Blansko and Hradec Králové.
