The Jurkovič Lookout

The lookout tower was created by carpenters working for the Wallachian Open Air Museum.

Experts in wooden buildings first had to elaborate on Jurkovič’s drawings and devise a way to create such a demanding building out of wood. They chose methods that were available to carpenters more than a hundred years ago, and the wood is also a hundred years old.
