Tetřev Lookout Tower

The peak of the Velký Polom mountain is part of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy ridge, which forms the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is a popular place for tourists, who find facilities here in the form of three tourist lodges.

The new Tetřev Lookout Tower, which is part of the hotel and stands on the site of an old mountain lodge with a water tank from the beginning of the 20th century, offers a view of the Slovak and Czech sides of the Beskydy Mountains. The water tank became the basis for the ten-metre high lookout tower.

In winter, there are groomed ski slopes in the Severka area and the entire ridge is one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing trails that will take you right up to Bílý Kříž.
