Layer Outcrop at Klokočůvek

The natural monument called Vrásový soubor (Layer Outcrop) is located near Klokočůvek. These are layers of shale, which have formed various curved shapes on the surface.

In one place you can see a small slough called Dragon Rock. Various species of rare plants grow in the surroundings of the Layer Outcrop. This natural phenomenon is a beautiful proof that there are many places in this area where shale was mined and many remains of old quarries can still be seen in the landscape. The beautiful complex is located in the Oderské Vrchy Nature Park.
