Views of the Beskydy Mountains

The landscape in the vicinity of Bílovec and Fulnek is slightly undulating and therefore even a hill like the one called Děrenský with its height of 395 metres above sea level allows a beautiful view of the Beskydy Mountains with the typical shape of the highest peak, i.e. Lysá hora, and the Ostrava Basin. A good orientation point is the tower of Trúba Castle in Štramberk.

This viewpoint is located near the small village of Děrná, which is connected with the long history of the Moravské Kravařsko region. Written records of the village date back to the 13th century, but settlement here was probably already a hundred years earlier. In addition to the viewpoint, there are a number of old stone wayside crosses and shrines in the vicinity, which remind us of the history of the area.
