Chapel in the National Gardens

The chapel is a remnant of the old Stations of the Cross leading to the church that used to stand on the Kotouč hill (https://www.muzeumnj.cz/en/stramberk) in Štramberk. It forms part of the National Gardens and it used to house a carved Wallachian Nativity scene. Today it houses a nativity scene made by a carver from Štramberk.

The National Gardens were created on the Kotouč hill (https://www.muzeumnj.cz/en/stramberk) in Štramberk in an atmosphere of patriotism shortly after the establishment of Czechoslovakia. It is an open-air gallery where you can admire busts and memorial plaques of important personalities of Czech history. An educational trail will take you through the National Gardens and the whole of Štramberk.
