Spa Darkov Karviná

Staying in the spa is primarily to improve our health, but it has always been an opportunity for pleasant social meetings, walks along the colonnade or listening to music. Visitors to the Darkov Spa spent just such pleasant days as early as 1867, when the first spa buildings were built here.

The fame of this Karviná resort soon spread beyond the borders of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the quality of health care has remained top-notch for 150 years. The healing spring of iodine-bromine water, the so-called brine, was accidentally discovered by Baron Jiří Bees of Chrastina while exploring the coal reserves on his estate.

The dominant feature of the local spa architecture is the Art Nouveau Ballroom and several listed villas. The spa park is used for walks and relaxation. In the course of the 20th century, a Rehabilitation Sanatorium was built at the other end of Karviná, where a large number of medical procedures were moved.

The spa also offers relaxation treatments and spa stays. You can try relaxing therapies in the Regeneration Centre and the World of Vitality is dedicated to various baths. There are also day spas and a polarium on offer.
