Footbridge over Bazaly in Slezská Ostrava

The footbridge over the legendary Bazaly football stadium in Slezská Ostrava has been refurbished and given a new look, as well as an impressive viewpoint.

The extensive refurbishment of the footbridge began in October 2022 and was completed in mid-October 2023. The renovation introduced a variety of new functional and aesthetic elements, transforming the former concrete space into a pleasant location for meetings and photography, offering a unique view of the entire city of Ostrava.

The pedestrian footbridge, which is five meters wide, has been transformed into a two-thirds green bridge, composed of grass and a variety of flowers and plants. The wooden cladding around the plants now serves as a place for relaxation and leisure. The unusual footbridge with metal cladding, is finished with a frame and glass railing enabling the capture of panoramic pictures against the city backdrop. Come and marvel at the views of Ostrava at any time or season, as the viewpoint offers breathtaking scenery at every moment.

Furthermore, the transit stops have transformed, now resembling metaphorical football substitute benches with the famous blue seats characteristic of Bazaly stadium.
