Healing mineral water springs near Hostašovice
Two springs originate from the ground near Hostašovice.
Although they are in the forest about two metres apart, the composition of the water is completely different, which is quite unique. One of the springs is called Kyselka, the other Smradlavka, which in itself indicates the composition, taste and smell of the water. The springs are considered medicinal. Several species of extremely rare plants grow in the surroundings. In addition to the fact that there are two completely different springs in Hostašovice, there is also a European watershed running through the area. The roof of the barn of house number 23 is the boundary between the waters flowing into the Baltic or the Black Sea. And a complete curiosity is the Jaščerka well on the Trojačka hill, whose spring splits after a few metres and part of it flows north to the Baltic and part south to the Black Sea.
