Müllerův dům (Miller’s House) in Opava

Originally, Müllerův dům (Miller's House) was a watermill supplied with water by the moat of a former castle. Today, it is the last remaining structure of the castle complex (and later chateau) in Opava.

The former mill was gradually reconstructed into a chateau kitchen, and later was home to the chateau caretaker. After the demolition of the chateau complex, the old mill remained solitary in its surroundings, and during the First Republic Era, hosted a Czechoslovak legionnaire’s museum.

Today, the building is under the ownership of the Silesian Museum, which is planning a restoration of not only Müllerův dům, but also the adjacent garden.
