Railway Carriage Museum

The museum is located within the local chateau. Visitors have the chance to discover the history of railway transportation from its beginnings to the present day and to learn the history of this famous railway wagon factory.

The local wagon factory produced wagons for the post, luggage, trams, dining cars, freight wagons and many others. During the war years, the factory also produced field kitchens. The foyer and six halls use the exhibit and wagon models to illustrate the hundred-year factory history before the visitors’ very eyes. One of the most interesting exhibits is a functional model of a railway line.

The wagon museum is part of the TechnoTrail, where technical history enthusiasts can find out about the most interesting places and landmarks of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
