Church of St. Vojtěch
Great pilgrimages were held to the Church of St. Vojtěch, built by the Jesuits in Opava at the end of the 17th century. Today the church is one of the examples of Baroque sacral art.
The portal of the church is decorated with statues of saints and the church is incorporated into the building of the Jesuit college. It was even the seat of the Silesian Regional Assembly.
The church was an important place of pilgrimage, as evidenced by the fact that it once held an incredible 4,000 masses a year. In front of the church stands the Baroque Mariánský Column from the end of the 17th century.
