The Bumbálka Saddle

The mountain saddle called Bumbálka forms a natural passage from the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains in the Czech Republic to Slovakia.

The road that passes through here heads further on to Makov. The ridge, through which the saddle and road passes, is one of the main hiking and biking trails that lead over the Czech-Slovak border. On Bumbálka you have a chance to take a refreshing break on both the Czech and Slovakian sides. Visitors can continue along the ridge route towards Bílí Kříž (White Cross) or Třeštík. Another option is to pass down through the valley to Velké Karlovice (Great Karlovice) and Vsetin.
