Chateau in Janovice u Rýmařova

The chateau in Janovice u Rýmařova is gradually opening to the public. You will find here a beautiful knight's hall and unique wooden ceilings.

Every year there is a new room that is renovated and designed for history lovers. Tourists are attracted, for example, by the exhibition of puppets that depict some of the local legends. So, here you will see about forty characters ranging from small elves to the largest life-size puppet of Grandpa Praděd. Another part of the chateau is dedicated to old crafts and traditions in the countryside. Visitors can see how baskets were woven or how classic homemade bread is baked. The chateau chapel often hosts music and cultural events.

Visitors who are interested in the history of the area can continue to Rýmařov and visit, for example, the local museum with objects from the Bronze Age.
