The Look-out Tower on top of Velky Javorník (Great) Javornik

Velky Javorník is the highest mountain in the Veřovice Hills which form the westernmost foothills of Beskydy. On top of the mountain, which is 918 meters high, stands a new wooden tower with views of the Beskydy Mountains.

From here, you can see Lysa hora and Kněhyně crest Ondřejník and the chapel on Radhošt. Below the summit, you can purchase some refreshment at a stylish tourist chalet dating from 1935, from which there are views of Frenštát and towards Ostrava.

Along the ridge of the Veřovice Hills, there are hiking trails and you can find great cross-country ski trails on the mountainside in winter.
