The Mountain Travný (Grassy)

A part of the mighty mountain range which stretches from the village Pražmo toward Bílí Kříž (White Cross) and lies between the Morávka and Mohelnice rivers is the mountain called Travný.

The peak has an altitude of 1203 meters and, over mighty fir and beech trees, you can see the summit of Lysa Hora (Bald Mountain).Travný is a place where, in addition to many rare species of birds, live the ‘3 Beskydy carnivores’: the lynx, wolf and bear. It is mainly because the mountain is off the main tourist routes and the forests retain their original character.

Hikers, who climb to the top of Travný from Morávka, can admire the partisan bunkers from World War II and stop at the memorial to the guerrillas.
