The Rešovské Waterfalls

Waterfalls - the largest waterfalls of the Nízký Jeseník

A rocky valley with numerous cascades and several of the largest waterfalls in the Low Jeseník has been created by the Huntava stream, which springs in the Silver Mountains near Horní Město. You can walk through the area, which has been a protected natural monument since 1966, via wooden walkways and stairs.

The Rešov Waterfalls are located on the Huntava stream, approx. 8 km away from Rýmařov, and are one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area. A water mill once worked under the waterfalls. In the canyon valley, original fir-beech forests with ferns, mosses, shady rocks, and fallen trunks have been preserved around the waterfalls. The waterfalls form a roughly two hundred metrers long and about ten metrers wide canyon-like gorge. The walls of the canyon rise to a height of twenty metrers. The water of the Huntava stream gradually falls from a height of around ten metrers.

A footpath for hikers was established in the valley, which takes visitors through the most beautiful parts of the valley and the rock canyon along the Huntava stream. The hiking track is facilitated by a system of wooden bridges, stairs, and walkways complemented by viewpoints of the most remarkable parts. The route follows the marked tourist trail.

The Rešov Waterfalls are most easily accessible from Rešov (1.5 km), Horní Město (3 km) or Tvrdkov (3 km).
