Town square in Horní Benešov

Horní Benešov is famous for its mining tradition and textile production, elements of which can still be seen in the streets today.

The town was completely self-sufficient and most of its inhabitants were of German origin. The town square has been repaired and is decorated with a sandstone statue of St. John of Nepomuk. There are also several heritage-listed townhouses.
