The Square in Horní Benešov

Horní Benešov is famous for its mining tradition and textile production, the imprints of which are apparent on the streets to this day.

The town was totally independent and most of its inhabitants were originally German. The square has been reconstructed and is adorned with a sandstone statue of St. John of Nepomuk. There are also several protected historical burgess houses.
